Techno-meditation as an Antidote to Workforce Changes Brought by AI

How can the effects of AI be minimized in Spain’s current demographic and economic context?

Let’s briefly analyze the figures of various groups in Spain, along with their percentage relative to the total adult population, estimated at approximately 39.8 million people. Nearly 50% of them do not work and rely on state support:

  • Public employees: More than 3.5 million people depend directly on the state, representing approximately 8.8% of the adult population.
  • Pensioners: Around 10 million citizens receive a contributory or non-contributory pension, equivalent to approximately 25.1% of the adult population.
  • Minimum Vital Income (IMV) beneficiaries: As of December 2024, the IMV reached 674,000 households, benefiting 2,050,000 people, about 5.2% of the adult population.
  • Unemployed individuals: Around 3 million people are unemployed, making up 7.5% of the adult population.
  • Active workers: Approximately 20 million people are employed, accounting for about 50.3% of the adult population.

Some believe AI is a job-destroying machine and that the state will not be able to absorb such a massive increase in IMV recipients. Others, including AI itself, believe the impact will not be so drastic.

What is clear is that the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the job landscape in Spain and worldwide, affecting various sectors and professional profiles. With a workforce of approximately 20 million people, it is estimated that within the next decade, around 2% of jobs could be displaced due to AI-driven automation. This equates to approximately 400,000 jobs over ten years, with 40,000 jobs lost per year if we compare AI-driven job losses (2,000,000) with the creation of new jobs (1,600,000) in the AI sector.

Possible New Job Opportunities Created by AI

Although AI may displace certain roles, it also creates new job opportunities in emerging fields. Many of these new jobs require specialized skills but do not necessarily require a traditional university degree, making them accessible to both white-collar and blue-collar workers, with AI itself serving as an educator. Some examples include:

  • AI Model Developers: Experts in creating and training algorithms that enable machines to learn and perform tasks autonomously. Many AI platforms now allow non-technical individuals to develop AI agents. At Mindkidness, we are already working on developing these tools to help NGOs integrate AI into their daily operations.
  • Data Analysts: Professionals skilled in interpreting large volumes of information and extracting relevant insights for business decision-making, using AI-powered tools alongside human intuition.
  • Cybersecurity Specialists: Professionals who protect IT systems and data from cyber threats, using AI-driven user-friendly security tools that do not require deep technical expertise.

AI Techno-Meditation in the Workplace

The transition to an AI-driven labor market involves not only technical changes but also emotional and psychological challenges for employees who may need to reskill or risk losing their jobs. AI-assisted meditation programs, developed by Mindkidness, offer a valuable tool to ease this transition. This program includes:

  • AI Conversational Assistants: Tools that provide personalized guidance on meditation techniques, personal development, and habit transformation, adapting to each employee’s specific needs and easing the transition.
  • Binaural Technology Meditation: Uses AI-designed binaural beats (different frequencies in each ear) to induce deep relaxation and concentration, helping employees manage stress and anxiety during career shifts.
  • Brainwave Monitoring and Biofeedback: Devices that measure brain activity and physiological responses provide real-time feedback from AI conversational assistants, allowing individuals to optimize their meditation practices and improve their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Integrating Mindkidness into Companies

Mindkidness, a structured techno-meditation methodology based on six phases, is supported by specialized spaces like Soul Spas guided by conversational assistants. It is positioned as an effective solution for supporting employees during this transformation period. By integrating Mindkidness into the workplace, companies can:

  • Foster resilience: Helping employees develop a greater ability to face uncertainty and challenges associated with AI integration.
  • Promote emotional well-being: Reducing stress and anxiety levels, contributing to a healthier and more productive work environment.
  • Facilitate adaptation to change: Preparing employees for new roles and responsibilities in an evolving job market, with a special focus on the habit changes required by AI-driven workforce transformations.

Aurora Mindkidness leads this transformation, ensuring a smoother and more mindful transition into the AI era.
